POSITION REPORTS TO:  Human Resources Director

 

JOB PURPOSE

Assist the Human Resources Director in managing the day-to-day human resource needs. Oversees routine and non-routine tasks involving departmental development, Human Resource Information Systems (HRIS), benefits, recruiting, compensation, and compliance with Human Resources related laws and compliance.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

·         Manages the internal recruiting process to include working with hiring managers to determine recruiting needs, pre-screening candidates, setting up and/or conducting interviews, and maintaining contact throughout interview process

·         Assist with the oversight of performance management and improvement processes

·         Assist with employee relations issues

·         Oversees management of the HRIS

·         Maintains relationships with benefit vendors and oversees benefit administration for current employees

·         Serves as a resource to others in the resolution of problems

·         Participates in benefit and compensation surveys

·         Performs other Human Resources related tasks as required

·         Ensures that job descriptions are maintained for all positions

·         Responsible for review of the job titles and ensures the job titles are consistent and rational.

·         Responsible for completing timely audits of employee compensation data including job families, FLSA status, incentive targets.

·         Compiles standard and ad hoc reports from the company’s HRIS and performs initial analysis on issues including overtime, salary increase costs, bonus accruals and pay practices across locations.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY AND KEY RELATIONSHIPS

Establish and maintain relationships with all client departments to respond to staffing, performance, training, meeting facilitation, and special projects needs.  Engage in ongoing outreach with department directors and executives.

 

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND EDUCATION

Requires 8-10 years of Human Resources experience with expert understanding Human Resources related laws and compliance. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. Must have experience with HRIS administration and ad hoc report generation; along with strong problem solving aptitude. Must be able to isolate issues and define problems clearly and articulate solutions in a clear, concise, and consultative manner. Ability to analyze data and provide recommendations; and strong verbal and written communications skills required.
