Regional Human Resources Director (Washington DC area)

Position Summary:

This individual will be responsible for serving as a strategic Human Resource partner to Regional Operations in support of business strategies with senior level support in the areas of recruitment, retention, training and development, succession planning and employee relations.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Creation and execution of strategic regional HR Plan
  • Oversee the recruitment process with the Area Directors to ensure

the right people are in the right place at the right time with bench strength

  • Utilize out of the box recruitment efforts for cost containment
  • Audit cafes to ensure record keeping compliance.
  • Support the Area Directors and Teaching and Learning GM’s with MIT’s to include classes during training and follow up of trainees.
  • Ensure the integrity of the teaching and learning process both at the management and hourly level.

·         Recruitment of qualified candidates to include college recruitment, ad placement, internet recruiting, scheduling interviews and subsequent on-boarding process and paperwork.

  • Manage employee relations’ matters within the Region including performance and disciplinary action.
  • Spearhead HR policy implementation including, but not limited to succession planning, performance appraisals, and policy and procedure communication.
  • Develop and institute key HR processes for operational efficiency

 

Requirements:

  • High energy and maturity, with the ability to juggle multiple assignments simultaneously for competing priorities. Self-starter, proactive, responsible and creative.
  • Team player who enjoys working in a collaborative environment to achieve results.
  • Displayed success at developing strategic recruitment and retention plans and executing accordingly to fill positions within the organization.
  • Relationship builder. Excellent verbal and written skills.  Strong platform facilitation skills.
  • Solid judgment and strong interpersonal skills and experience in dealing with complex employee relations’ issues.
  • Technically proficient (MS Office Suite)

 

Qualifications:

  • 7 plus years of progressive Human Resources experience in generalist role SPHR or PHR preferred
  • Must be willing to travel up to 50%
