Benefits Specialist 

 

FLSA Status: Exempt

Department:  Human Resources

Position Summary:

A Benefits Specialist is responsible for the plan development, administration, and/or supervision of the day-to-day operations of Billy Casper Golf’s benefit programs (group health, dental, vision, disability, life insurance, flexible spending, 401(k), and Cobra) under the supervision and direction of the Vice President of Human Resources.

 

Qualifications, Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree in a related field (Business, Sociology, Communication)
  • 2-3 years experience in human resources
  • Great communication skills; verbal and written
  • Experience with HRIS systems (preferable ADP)
  • State and local benefit law knowledge
  • PHR or PHR eligible preferred

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintains benefit records. 
  • Reviews, reconciles and authorizes payment of benefit invoices.
  • Point of contact for employees and benefit venders.
  • Administer annual benefits’ open enrollment,
  • Answer employee inquires related to benefits and other miscellaneous Human Resources projects.
  • Train employees on benefit related topics (open enrollment, prescription plans, 401k program).
  • Analyze benefit data for accuracy and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Transmit employees benefits data between internal systems and vendor systems
  • Other miscellaneous projects as needed.

 

 

Base salary $45,000-$55,000, plus 9% of base salary in additional incentive and bonus potential

 

The compensation package for this position also includes: Health/Dental/Vision insurance; paid vacation and holidays; sick leave; short-term disability insurance; 401(k) and FSA participation; golf privileges; and growth potential with our established and expanding company.
