Job Summary:
Responsible for the administration and coordination of the American Red Cross National Awards program for both volunteers and employees. Ensures the successful life cycle of the program from nomination to presentation of awards/recognition at the National and headquarters level. Provides organization-wide expertise/support for development and implementation of new national programs for both volunteers and employees and as a resource for field units in their efforts to introduce or revise local programs.

Responsibilities/Tasks:
• Develop and publish guidance & communication on national awards
• Liaison with department owners of service awards
• Maintain Red Cross store inventory of awards & recognition items; coordinate creation of items with Creative Services
• Design/maintain award documentation and forms
• Answer questions from units on awards process
• Plan and conduct National Awards & Recognition event
• Plan and conduct national headquarters awards and recognition event
• Receive national level award nominations and route them to reviewing groups/decision makers.
• Respond to inquiries submitted to National Award mailbox
• Create database of local award/recognition programs in Biomedical Services and chapters
• Research and develop in coordination with other Total Rewards/Policy COE staff proposals for new or enhanced national recognition/award programs for both employees and volunteers
• Act as subject matter expert and POC for field units looking to enhance or introduce recognition programs, providing best practice/resources, advice to enhance/encourage integration with larger total rewards strategy for employees and broader volunteer engagement strategy

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Business Management, Human Resource Management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum 5 years of compensation experience including demonstrated experience in the analysis, design and implementation of base pay and/or recognition programs.
