· PHR/SPHR Exam "Brush-Up"
Overview

Have you been studying on your own?
Would you like to check your knowledge before you take the certification
exam? We welcome you to a 4-hour review class on April 8 from 8:00am to noon at the Carnegie Endowment, 1779 Massachusetts Ave, NW. The cost for HRA-NCA members is only
$20.00, non- members $35.00 The class will be an overview of the possible
topics for the HRCI PHR and SPHR certification examination window that
begins May 1, 2005 and closes June 30, 2005. Come, learn and share
breakfast with other PHR/SPHR hopefuls.

· New Model USERRA Notice
|
|
|
On March 10, 2005, the U.S. Department of Labor issued a form
notice which employers will be required to provide to their employees to
summarize their federal military leave rights. A "Your Rights Under
USERRA" notice was issued to implement a new requirement signed into
law as part of the Veterans Benefits Improvements Act. The notice may be
posted in the same manner as employers traditionally post legally
required notices. It may also be distributed by hand, mail, or e-mail.

HRA-NCA awards two scholarships
annually to deserving
students in the amount of $1,500 each. Applications are due on or before April
6. Learn

The SHRM
Foundation Regional Scholarship Program is a flexible awards program
designed to assist working SHRM members. Scholarships are awarded
annually to members pursuing a college degree or working toward SPHR or
PHR certification. The 2005 application deadline is May 15. Learn
