Studying on your own? Check your knowledge before you take the certification exam! Come to a review class on April 8, 8:00am to noon, at Carnegie Endowment, Washington DC. Only $20 for HRA-NCA members or $35 for non- members. This is an overview of the possible topics for the HRCI PHR and SPHR certification examination window that begins May 1 and closes June 30. Come, learn and share breakfast with other PHR/SPHR hopefuls.

·  Job Matching: Learn about Participating in the 2005 Compensation Survey

 

Have you received your copy of the HRA-NCA compensation survey materials in the mail yet? If not, the package will be in your in-box soon. HRA- NCA is presenting a unique opportunity to acquaint you with our Compensation Survey, the premier source for salary information in the region. Join us for a Job Matching Seminar on April 13, 8:30- 10:00am (registration at 8:00). This free seminar will help you match jobs to the HRA-NCA survey and answer all you need to know about the survey in 1 1/2 hours.

·  Help Wanted: Martha is Leaving! And that's no joke!

 

HRA-NCA needs a CHAPTER ADMINISTRATOR - someone who can work from home 20 hours per week to handle bookkeeping, events coordination, and administrative support. Qualifications include demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks, Adobe, and MS Word, Excel, and Access. Previous experience highly recommended. If you are interested or know someone who is, email cover letter and resume to Kirsten Howard, President.

 

 

 

 

·  Students! Last Call for Scholarship Funds!

 

HRA-NCA awards two scholarships annually to deserving students in the amount of $1,500 each. Applications are due on or before April 6. Don't miss the deadline! Learn more and download the application.

The SHRM Foundation Regional Scholarship Program is a flexible awards program designed to assist working SHRM members. Scholarships are awarded annually to members pursuing a college degree or working toward SPHR or PHR certification. The 2005 application deadline is May 15.
