Do You Know
Your Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) and What It Means?,
October 25, 2005 |
|
Have you wondered why some people thrive during their job
search and others don’t? Knowing your personality preferences,
by taking the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator, may help you in
your search for your next career move. Join your human
resources colleagues at the October 25th meeting of the Career
Management Program to learn more about your preferences and
how they can influence your approach to the job search, the
types of companies that might be appealing to you, and even
the nature of the HR work that suits you best. Because of the
expected popularity of this meeting, the first 20 attendees
will be given the self-scoring instrument that evening.
Everyone, however, will join in a lively session of
understanding the results. Join us beginning at 5:30 pm...

Beyond
Compliance: Creating and Sustaining an Ethical Culture,
November 9, 2005 |
|
Creating and sustaining an ethical culture is a vital
activity of EVERY organization. Beyond the recent burden
placed on your CFO’s shoulder, you have to be leadership’s
“conscience” to make sure your organization is doing the
“right thing”. Are you ready for the challenge? Learn from the
experts and brainstorm with your peers to walk away with the
tools you need to become a role model, rather than a headline
in tomorrow’s newspaper. |

DC Area SHRM
Needs You!! |
|
The world's largest HR conference and exposition is coming
to Washington, D.C. June 25-28, 2006. It’ll be held at the new
Washington D.C. Convention Center and it’s going to be great.
But before anyone can attend and benefit from this great
conference, we need hundreds of volunteers to help make it
happen!
All members of SHRM Chapters in the DC metropolitan area
are being asked to help support this event.
How will you benefit from volunteering? Well, besides
knowing that you’ve given something back to the profession and
have helped make this conference a winning event, you will
receive one free conference day for this conference for every
six hours of volunteering work. So you can help out and get
the benefit of the conference programs! |
