What: Managing Anger and Emotions in the Workplace

Course Description: This five hour workshop will teach participants basic coping strategies on how to deal with difficult people, respond to difficult people and prevent potential problems in the workplace environment. In addition, the course will allow participants the ability to understand and manage emotions in the workplace environment. Finally several management styles and approaches with dealing with conflict will be taught to participants for immediate implementation in their designated workplace.
Course will be taught by:
Robert G. Roop, PH. D.,Vice President of Human Resources and Education for The Humane Society of the United States, President of The Humane Society University. He holds a masters degree in community counseling psychology and a doctorate in human resource management. He leads Humane Society University, which offers professional development opportunities to the animal-care and control community. A certified compassion fatigue specialist, he has taught courses in management at Webster University, John Hopkins University, George Washington University, and the Catholic University of America.
